For Young Car Owners

Here’s some useful information for young car owners. Some might say it’s obvious, but I’ll tell you from my own experience — not everything is obvious to everyone.
So let’s start with the basics:

1. The engine oil should be changed every 3–4 thousand miles. Some cars are more sensitive to oil changes, others less so — this is just an average.
Always record the mileage after each oil change. We provide our customers with maintenance cards where we note the mileage and any other work that’s been done.

2. Never overfill the oil above the normal level — and make sure no one else does it for you. Some local mechanics like to pour in all the oil from the canister without checking the level.
