Dear Friend,
We completely understand how you feel.
Buying a car is one of the biggest purchases most people make. When you finally find a vehicle that looks perfect, youโre hoping to hear just one thing:
Unfortunately, thatโs not how the used car market usually works.
Even expensive vehicles with low mileage, a clean history, and a great appearance rarely come without flaws. Thatโs exactly why a pre-purchase inspection exists.
Sometimes, within the first 10 or 15 minutes of an inspection, we discover our first issue. Maybe the starter is nearing the end of its life. Maybe the A/C compressor is making abnormal noise and will likely need replacement in the near future.
This is often the moment when buyers become discouraged.
They think,
Some even want to stop the inspection right there.
But thatโs actually the worst time to stop.
By this point, youโve already invested in getting professional information about the vehicle. The most valuable part of the inspection is still ahead.
Our job isnโt to find just one problem.
Our job is to uncoverย as much information about the vehicle as possibleย without disassembling it, so you can make an informed decision.
Maybe that aging starter will turn out to be the only significant issue, and the rest of the car is in excellent condition.
Or maybe weโll uncover several additional problems that completely change your opinion of the vehicle.
At this stage, we simply donโt know.
Thatโs why itโs so important to let us complete the inspection.
Sometimes the seller agrees to fix the problems, and the car becomes an excellent purchase.
Sometimes you inspect another vehicle and realize this one was actually the better choice.
And sometimes the inspection confirms that walking away is absolutely the right decision.
The important thing is this:
Our goal is never to convince you to buy, or not buy, a particular vehicle.
Our goal is to provide you with enough accurate, unbiased information so that you can make the best decision for your situation.
Thatโs why we always recommend completing the inspection.
Knowledge is your strongest negotiating tool.
P.S. If, at any point during the inspection, I believe that continuing with an Extended Pre-Purchase Inspection no longer makes financial sense for you, Iโll tell you immediately. I will never recommend spending more money just to complete a report. If itโs already clear that this vehicle isnโt worth pursuing, Iโll let you know honestly and save you the additional expense.
